A wedged diamond window is a CVD single crystal optical component with a small, controlled angle between the two faces. That angle kills internal back-reflections and etalon interference – problems that parallel windows can never fully solve. Over the years, we have supplied these for high-power laser output couplers, FTIR and Raman spectrometer windows, and aerospace sensor systems where signal clarity and thermal stability are the real constraints.
What the wedge does for you
It eliminates the fringe pattern that otherwise rides on your signal. In sensitive measurements (low-light or low-concentration), that alone can improve signal-to-noise ratio by 40 dB compared to a sapphire parallel window – not a lab trick, but a repeatable difference we have seen in customer setups.

What we can provide
Wedge angle typically 0.5° to 3° (tighter or larger on request). Diameters from 3 mm to 50 mm, thickness from 0.3 mm to 3 mm. Both sides polished, AR coating per your wavelength band. Custom shapes – round, rectangular, with chamfered or stepped edges.
Before quotation, our engineering team reviews two things: whether your desired wedge angle and diameter‑to‑thickness ratio are stable for polishing, and whether single crystal is actually needed (polycrystalline works for some, but not all, transmission bands). We will tell you what we can hold, and what we cannot.
